Modernization of railway stops on Line No. 96

Acting as the general contractor, Swietelsky Rail Polska carried out the comprehensive modernization of three railway stops located on Railway Line No. 96. The project included the reconstruction of passenger platforms together with access routes, modernization of engineering structures, and redevelopment of railway power supply and traffic control systems. The scope of works also covered associated infrastructure, including street furniture, modern LED lighting, as well as track and trackside works.
The aim of the project was to improve rail traffic safety, enhance passenger comfort, and adapt the infrastructure to current functional and accessibility standards. The modernized railway stops provide a higher standard of passenger service, better traffic organization, and greater durability of the infrastructure in demanding terrain conditions.

Wierchomla Wielka
A 150 m long platform together with the access route was rebuilt and equipped with street furniture and modern LED lighting mounted on composite breakaway poles. Due to the direct proximity of the rock mass, the rocky slope was secured using a draped mesh system and a steel catch fence. As part of the project, road pavement and a rubber-panel railway crossing were also constructed.
Zubrzyk
A platform with a length of 200 m and a width of 4 m was modernized together with an 8 m long access route. The facility was equipped with street furniture, a lit shelter, illuminated display cases, and LED lighting mounted on 11 composite poles. The stop was fully adapted for persons with disabilities and passengers with reduced mobility.
Żegiestów-Zdrój
A passenger stop located in the vicinity of the railway station was rebuilt. The modernized 250 m long platform was equipped with street furniture, a lit shelter, illuminated display cases, and LED lighting mounted on 10 composite poles. At this location, the works also included the construction of two reinforced concrete culverts under Track No. 1, renovation of a 40 m long stone wall, and replacement of the track structure together with grinding and alignment.
