In June 2024, the company Swietelsky Rail Polska signed a contract with the Municipality of Tarnów for the reconstruction of Tuchowska Street in Tarnów, which is one of the key entrances to the city from the south. We are pleased to announce the timely completion of this important local investment, carried out by Swietelsky Rail Polska as the general contractor.
At the beginning of August, we were still laying asphalt, and on August 22, the route was officially opened for traffic in both directions.
The project, worth over 24 million PLN gross, has completely transformed the street and increased safety levels. As part of the works, we completed, among others:
🔸 a new road surface along with drainage,
🔸 reconstruction of intersections and bus bays,
🔸 a new sidewalk and an asphalt pedestrian-bicycle path,
🔸 street lighting and elements improving traffic safety.
Although minor finishing works are still ongoing, the street is already passable, which has been met with great satisfaction from the local community. Thanks to the changes we have implemented, the daily journeys of residents and drivers will now be safer and more comfortable.
