Swietelsky Rail Polska sp. z o.o. with a railway contract worth over 1 billion PLN gross

Swietelsky Rail Polska sp. z o.o. based in Krakow won the tender organized by PKP PLK S.A. for the development of the executive project and the execution of construction works as part of the task "Works on railway lines no. 25, 74, 78 on the section Stalowa Wola–Tarnobrzeg–Sandomierz–Ocice–Padew." The contract worth over 1 billion PLN gross is the largest railway contract in the history of the Company.

Contract signed on August 8, 2025.

On August 8, 2025, the President of the Company, Mr. Wojciech Więckowski, signed in Tarnobrzeg with representatives of PKP PLK, in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure and the Voivode of Podkarpackie, the contract for railway works.

Investment details

The investment carried out under the National Railway Program will last until the second half of 2027 and will cover as much as 100 km of tracks, 90 km of traction network, reconstruction of 7 bridges (including the longest single-span, two-girder bridge with a length of 80 m), reconstruction of 78 culverts, 94 switches, and 59 level crossings, as well as modernization of the stations Sobów, Grębów, Zbydniów, Tarnobrzeg, Ocice, Chmielów, Padew Narodowa, Stalowa Wola Rozwadów Towarowy, and the construction of 17 platforms.

Summary

This is a strategic infrastructure investment in the region, aimed at improving transport accessibility (the "Trójstyk" project), as well as increasing safety and travel quality, while simultaneously shortening its duration.
